Post-Impressionism is an art genre that appeared after Manet and impressionism. The term was first used by art critic Roger Fry in 1910. The genre involves bright, bold colors and slight geometric distortion to convey emotions. Examples of major post-impressionist artists include Henri Rosseau, Paul Cezanne, Vincent van Gogh and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
